3. The Batching Workflow in Practice

Part 3 • Sustainable Content Scheduling (Batching)

Here is a practical example of a weekly batching workflow for a musician who wants to post one video per day:

Monday (Ideation & Pre-production): Spend 2-3 hours brainstorming ideas for the week's seven videos. Write down the hooks, the basic structure, and any necessary props or locations for each video.

Tuesday (Filming Day): Dedicate a 4-hour block to filming all seven videos. Since you've already planned them, you can move efficiently from one setup to the next. Change your shirt between filming sessions to create the illusion that the videos were filmed on different days.

Wednesday (Editing & Post-production): Spend 3-4 hours editing the seven videos, adding text overlays, and exporting the "clean master" versions for each.

Thursday (Distribution & Scheduling): Spend 1-2 hours uploading the clean masters to each platform (TikTok, Reels, Shorts), adding native text and sounds, writing all seven captions, and using a scheduling tool to set them to post automatically, one per day, for the next seven days.

With this system, you have created an entire week's worth of content in about 10-12 hours of focused work. For the rest of the week, you are free to focus on other things, like writing music.
