The save-to-listener ratio is perhaps the single most important indicator of a song's quality to the Spotify algorithm. This ratio is calculated by dividing the number of saves by the number of unique listeners. For a track to be considered exceptionally "sticky" and worthy of algorithmic amplification, a save-to-listener ratio of roughly 25-40% is a commonly cited benchmark (not an official Spotify number). For example, if you have 1,000 listeners and 375 saves, you've hit this mark. This ratio tells Spotify that a significant portion of people who hear your song love it enough to keep it.
