Before you post any video, subject it to this simple test: watch only the first three seconds and then honestly ask yourself, "If I were a complete stranger scrolling through my feed, would I have stopped for this?" Is there a clear reason to continue watching? Is the visual and/or auditory information compelling enough to interrupt the hypnotic scroll? If the answer is no, your video is not ready. Go back and re-engineer your opening until it passes this critical test. In the world of short-form video, you don't get a second chance to make a first impression.
