Step 6 of 10 in this module#566 of 1,000

6. Line Thickness and Detail

Part 6 • Technical Requirements for Print-Ready Artwork

For detailed designs, pay attention to the thickness of your lines. Very thin lines (below 0.5pt or 0.18mm) or extremely fine details may not print clearly, especially on certain fabrics or with certain printing methods. Screen printing, in particular, requires a minimum line thickness. If your design has intricate details, simplify them slightly to ensure they translate well to the physical product. When in doubt, simplify. A simpler design is always better than a blurry, complex one.
