Your PNG file must have a transparent background. If your design has a white background around it, that white square will be printed directly onto your T-shirt. This is one of the most common mistakes made by new designers and results in a very unprofessional-looking product. Ensure that when you export your PNG, the "transparent background" option is selected in your design software. Always preview your design on a mockup with a different color shirt to confirm the background is truly transparent.
